Bus and train depot security

There are several reasons why individuals choose to trespass in public transport depots, with associated risks varying from low to severe.  Unfortunately, the reality of these risks has been demonstrated frequently in recent years in cities worldwide.

In a best-case scenario, individuals enter a depot to create graffiti, which impacts aesthetics and incurs removal costs.  More serious cases involve severe vandalism that, beyond repair costs, may jeopardize passenger safety.  However, the most critical concerns involve major security breaches or the use of vehicles to cause significant public harm.

When it comes to public safety, prevention is superior to lessons learned after the fact.  Therefore, safeguarding the perimeter of public transport depots with appropriate intrusion detection systems is non-negotiable.
